Today I want to share with you one of the quick yet satisfying meals I’ve learned to put into my culinary arsenal. A couple of months ago I discovered Smitten Kitchen’s “Pasta with Garlicky Broccoli Rabe” and thought it would be a labor of love to make. However, after the first round I was completely amazed at how easy it was! It was quite fun watching the brocoli rabe overwhelm the boiling pasta noodles. Furthermore, after a few goes at this recipe, I started tweaking it to make it my own.
For instance, the other night I wanted to give the recipe an extra kick of savory spiciness. I picked up a pack of Andouille sausage and cooked it according to package instructions before folding it into the finished product. The outcome was très délicieux! Next, I’ll try to swap out the broccoli rabe for spinach or arugula ;D
